From 04 April during term of the state of danger, extraordinary regulations have been introduced to postal services.

Consignments that cannot be delivered by mailbox

Items that cannot be delivered by mailbox, will not be delivered to persons in official quarantine. During the period of quarantine, the postal service provider has a duty of custody, during which time the person not affected by the quarantine may take over the consignment. However, at the end of the period of custody, rules for failed delivery shall apply.

The postal service provider is entitled to deliver the postal parcel to the occasional recipient even if the sender did not expressly so provide, but the addressee expressly requests delivery to the occasional recipient.

Registered shipments

Registered letters will not be delivered personally but be placed in the mailbox by the postman, the fact of delivery will be recorded, and no signature will be taken. Only items with a return receipt or value declaration, official documents and postal parcels shall be delivered in person but applying a distance of at least 1.5 meters during identification. The data of the recipient will be recorded by the postman but no signature will be taken.
