If we were asked to name Swedish-owned companies operating in Hungary, most people could easily list at least three. Even if nothing else comes to mind, the blue-and-yellow furniture store, the family car, and the refrigerator are almost certainly among them. Swedish brands are deeply embedded in public awareness—unsurprisingly so, as many of these companies entered the Hungarian market almost immediately after the political transition.

The festive event titled Celebrating 30 Years of Swedish Highlights in Hungary, held at the Embassy of Sweden, brought together leading representatives of the Swedish business community. At the event organized by the Swedish–Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, our firm was represented by partner attorney Dr. Ádám Illés.

It was a particular honor for us that Visegrad+ Legal was featured in the Chamber’s anniversary publication, alongside companies and organizations that regard long-term thinking, innovation, sustainability, and responsible corporate culture as core values.

Swedish values have a tangible impact on our everyday work—from digital solutions and reduced paper usage to conscious sustainability practices and employee well-being. For this reason, celebrating together in such an inspiring environment was especially meaningful to us.

Our firm has been a member of the Chamber for four years and has consistently supported its initiatives. We are now taking this cooperation to an even higher level: going forward, we will provide the Chamber’s legal representation pro bono. We wish at least another 30 years of shared success.
